Terms

The terms on which a single check is sold.
What is being sold
This is a serial risk screening, not an authentication or appraisal. It reflects known counterfeit records and pattern signals in our data — it is not a legal or expert determination of this watch's authenticity. For a binding opinion, consult the brand or an independent watchmaker.
A check screens one serial number against records of listings classified as counterfeit, and against pattern rules derived from them. It is delivered immediately after payment as a result page and a downloadable report.
Price and payment
A single check costs €1.99, payable before the check runs. Payment is handled by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach this service.
Whether the price is stated including or excluding VAT, which follows from the open tax decision (regular taxation vs. the §19 small business rule). A consumer price in the EU must be the final price, so this sentence and the figure on the site have to agree.
Withdrawal
A check is digital content delivered immediately, so the right of withdrawal can lapse — but only if you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that lapse at checkout. The full withdrawal policy is here.
What is not promised
A result is a risk signal, not a determination. In particular, a result reporting no signal does not mean a watch is genuine — it means nothing was found in the data available at the time of the check.
The liability clause. This is the section a lawyer must write rather than adapt: the product deliberately produces a result that a customer can misread as a verdict on their watch, and roughly three in four paying customers see the quietest of the four outcomes. The limitation has to survive that being pointed out.
Availability and changes
Service availability, what happens if a check cannot be completed after payment, and how changes to these terms are notified. The failure case is already handled in the product — a failed delivery is a state an operator can see and re-run — so this section should describe what actually happens rather than a generic disclaimer.
Governing law and jurisdiction
Governing law and place of jurisdiction. Note that consumer protection rules of the customer's country of residence apply regardless of what is agreed here, so this clause cannot do as much work as it appears to.
